The Journey is more important - specially the train ones.

The journey is more important than the destination.

I always admired the long train trips.

I was a very responsible co-traveller I used to prepare my
small pack filled with essentials like Chocolates, bottle opener, freshwipes,
hand sanitizer, zipper locks and many other important life saving stuff.

My dad used to carry a kit of his own, a kit which dealt
with more mature work

A portable filter(with silver and battery), A Toilet kit
comprising of Toilet cover for Western toilets cut out of calendars, few bottle
caps with a hole (pierced back at home during
the preparations) to mimic a jet (works great with single use plastic water bottles that we get on trains).

My mom's and grandma's kit comprised basically of food
items.. even they were innovative in their ways, my grandma used to carry a
netted cloth which she used to make juice out of fruits bought from station...

On a whole, train journeys were a holy thing for me... And
preparing my back pack was the holiest puja preparation I could do...

To me, it was the journey that excited me more than the
destination...

We usually travelled for attending functions. And it usually
wasn't more of holidays... We had a tight pack schedule, had to meet all the
relatives from that city, had to buy things that weren't available back at our
hometown....

Moreover, there were science museums and zoos to be surfed
as well.

So we barely had time to spend with each other.

The business prevailed at home as well, everyone busy with
their own routine of attending school, going to work, managing the house...

So for a little kid like me, it was the journey where
everyone felt calm and connected .

I guess it came to me naturally, which takes a lot of
philosophical talks to understand...

The journey is more important than the destination.

That was a small realisation and recalling that hit me when
I realised it applies to each one of our life's as well..

Birth, prepare for earning, earn, die

The destination?  -
Death !

It is the journey that matters...

Water cycle- a proper journey over and over again... The journey
matters coz it helps for survival
